| Russia wants to produce more milk and meat in future |
 During meeting with reporter President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said, that in 2009 his Country may import around 25 % of meat consumed in Russia. In 2008 this number was around 33 %. Russian Federation in future wants to produce more milk and meat products, so they can be more independent. This is connected with food safety concept. Dmitry Medvedev admitted also that meat and milk imports to Russia were down, so the domestic agricultural sector can develop.
