According to the latest information, the average price of arable land in Poland in 2010 was PLN 15 125 for 1 ha. In comparision to the previous year, when the average transaction price was PLN 14 932, the increase was only 1,3%. Therefore, everything indicates that, in accordance with the earlier predictions, the price of arable land has stabilized.
In 2010, The Agricultural Property Agency sold 96,5 thousand hectares of land, that is 7% more that was presumed, and its income and revenue was much higher, than originally predicted. The revenue from sale of land itself was higher than plannned by 22%, and the amount allotted by the Agency to the Budget for 2010 is record-breaking and will come to about one milliard zlotys (PLN 980 million), instead of the of the originally - planned PLN 539 million, that is 82% more that it was planned.
Currently, the APA has 2.1 million hectares of land at its disposal. About 75% thereof are leased lands (1,59 million ha). Yet, nowadays the importance of lease is decreasing. Concerning the existing lease agreement, actions intended to decrease both their numbers and the leased surface area will be continued, along with activities in favour of increasing sales, mainly by enlarging family farmsteads. |
